Never have tried this, but rumor has it that if you unscrew your lens, line it up and shoot in manual mode you have a macro lens in pinch.
Blurred Look
Instead of photoshopping in those blurred lines, take the photo that way. A little Vaseline on your lens gives you the perfect blurred look every time.
