Posing
Need help posing your clients?! Check out this cheat sheet and then go here for a more extensive guide. The pose is 50% of the picture, don't fudge it up!
Current Trends
Need some ideas on what is the current photography trend? Don't underestimate the power of Pinterest. If you want to keep your clients and gain new ones you have to make sure your pictures look like this :
Don't be afraid to look at other photographers work and even try to replicate it! If something works it works. It is just like when you go in to get a hair cut, you want it to look like someone else's, same idea with photography.
Filters
Lately it has been all about the filters. No more crystal clear images with straight frames. Nothing adds some flavor to a picture then throwing on some different filters in Photoshop. Or if you are feeling daring you can go old school and shoot with a filter already on your camera. Now I am not talking about the pre set one in your digital cameras I cam talking screw onto the end of the lens filters. Try it!
Exposure
Oh not it is over exposed! Not to fret. People love it! Just because you have perfect exposure doesn't mean you have a perfect picture. A lot of the time an even better picture, artistic wise, comes when the picture is slightly over exposed or under exposed. You might be surprised at the outcome!
Long Exposure
Sometimes having a long exposure is a good idea. Your best friend will be your tripod. Set it up and let your exposure stand the test of time and you will get a beautiful picture that show not only one moment but many.
